Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated:

MAKE. FIND. GO. is an independent editorial site. This page explains how we handle affiliate relationships, what that means for our recommendations, and what it doesn't.

What affiliate links are

Some links on this site are affiliate links. That means if you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission, at no additional cost to you.

How we make recommendations

Affiliate relationships do not determine what we recommend. Some recommendations are based on products we personally use and genuinely like. Others are based on research, comparison, product specifications, independent testing, customer feedback and overall value. When personal experience is relevant to a recommendation, we'll tell you. We will not claim to have personally used, tested or experienced something when we haven't. We do not recommend products solely because they pay a higher commission. If something earns a spot on MAKE. FIND. GO., we believe there is a good reason for it to be there.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links may appear in FIND. articles, product roundups, travel guides, gear guides and other content throughout MAKE. FIND. GO. When an article contains affiliate links, we will include a clear disclosure near the recommendations so you know that we may receive compensation if you make a purchase through those links.

Sponsored and complimentary products or experiences

We do not currently publish paid sponsored editorial content. If that changes, sponsored content will be clearly identified. If we receive a complimentary or discounted product, meal, hotel stay, trip or other benefit related to something we feature, we'll disclose that relationship clearly in the relevant content. Compensation or complimentary access does not guarantee a positive recommendation.

FTC compliance

MAKE. FIND. GO. is committed to transparency regarding financial and other material relationships that could affect how readers understand our recommendations. Our disclosures are intended to comply with applicable Federal Trade Commission guidance concerning endorsements, testimonials and material connections.
